What information is required to activate a Tappr account?

Australian Law requires that all financial institutions obtain, verify, and record information that identifies each person who opens a bank account or merchant facility. KYC (Know Your Customer) is an important part of the merchant on-boarding process for Tappr and we comply with all regulatory standards surrounding KYC. Additionally, current credit card regulations require our customers to be at least 18 years old, so you’ll have to make sure you can legally drink before you can create a Tappr account.

The following information is required to activate a Tappr account:

• Business trading name
• Business ABN/ACN
• Business trading address and mailing address
• Australian based bank account or merchant bank account
• Full name
• Current mobile phone number
• Current email address

Do I need to choose a business type?

During the registration process you need to classify how you will use Tappr by selecting a business type from the menu. This process will assign a merchant category code to your account. The purpose of assigning a merchant category code to your account is part of our KYC process.
